Author Topic: Iray displays inverted normals from OpenGL  (Read 1377 times)

I've been noticing something odd on a material and now, when creating something different and very simple, I've noticed my Iray normals are inverted from OpenGL.

Take a look at this gif:

Let me just add that the ones that are right are the OpenGL.

Can anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of the setting I have messed up?

Hey JQL,

in the 3d view toolbar go to Materials -> Default -> Edit and switch off the 'Direct X Normals' Button.

It solved it!

I hadn't realized the default material was supposed to have a different setup for Iray and OpenGL...
