Author Topic: Baking Objects/Textures within Substance?  (Read 841 times)

Hello. I'm trying to make a repeating texture from textured 3d meshes, I've gotten the normal map done (all in Blender) but getting a really high quality color map is proving tricky. If I plug the Substance Painter textures into Blender, they look substantially worse than in Substance itself, so I was wondering if I could just bake them within Substance?

What I mean is, basically baking a top down view of the textured mesh onto a 2x2m square... From what I've researched, it doesn't seem possible within Painter, but maybe within Designer? If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks.

Substance Designer has the Texture transfert baker, but not Substance Painter.
Depending on what you are looking for, the Planar projection in a fill layer could be good enough. However your use-case is not perfectly clear to me.
