Author Topic: Changing color in UE4  (Read 2170 times)

Hello,

I am completly new at the substance thing, but I like it! So, I just made a simple 3d-Mesh with 2 color assigned to it. I want to make them parametric (being able to change the colors in Ue4 via Substance Designer). I followed the tutorials, but somehow I missed something, because in Ue4 the sbs-INST doesn´t give me the option the change the colors of my mesh. Here´s the a screenshot from my Sbs-file:

Anyone an idea?

Hey pjaritz,

you need to expose the colour from the uniform Colour node.
You can expose parameters by clicking on the small function-icon next to them.

Hey Fabian,

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the "expose" button and did as you said, but it didn´t change a thing in UE4.

Does the color layer in Painter needs to have some sort of a substance effect to make the color adjustments work in UE4?

Hey Fabian,

Forget what I wrote above, it worked well! I exposed the color mode function at first...;)

Thanks for your help!

Hey Peter,

I am glad that it worked, finally. Happy publishing!
