Is it possible to paint models that weren't UV'ed?

Hey vincent_3,

theoretically it is possible to paint your models without taking thinking about making a good UV Layout, but it's not recommended and the result leave much to be desired in most cases.
The Tri-Planar Projections does a great job but it's not perfect and is not great for every surface and pattern.

Having a UV Layout is heavily recommended.

You need good UVs anyway, even if the TriPlanar works across UV seams, it will still rely on the UV to properly write the pixels in the texture.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
