Is it possible to create normal maps by projecting a low res geometry against a high res geometry inside Painter?  I saw a tutorial and the artist started this in Substance Designer, then imported the newly created normal map in Painter.  Curious if he could have skipped Designer and just created the Normal map in Painter instead using the same method.


yes you can, painter now has baking capabilities similar to designer.  Once you load your mesh into painter, click the bake textures button in the textureSet Setting window.
