Author Topic: Substance Terrain bug and fix  (Read 3183 times)

We were having graphical glitches with Substance Terrain in Unity certain GPUs (mostly low-end/integrated ones) that caused a bunch of random noise on terrains. Here's an example using the included sand and rock substances:

Turns out the problem is an uninitialized variable in TerrainReplacement.shader: line 61 'half3 col;' Some cards seem to zero out the values, while others don't. It can be fixed by just changing the line to 'half3 col = half3(0.0h, 0.0h, 0.0h);'
