Author Topic: New to material importing ( Help )  (Read 249 times)

So I have been using substance for a few months now while in school. I have used textures.com for when I am looking to buy higher quality materials. When I buy smart materials off of the website all the maps are already neatly packed into an .spsm file so it is as simple as dragging and dropping to import the material. I recently started to use Polligon though, and have purchased a few materials from their as well, although when you buy materials from them all of the maps come unpacked as images and I am not sure how to import the material into substance painter. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, especially if anyone can explain or link how to pack the maps into an easier to use .spsm file. Thanks!

For bitmaps you'll need to slot them into a Fill Layer under the proper channels. Then you can use masking to direct them if you wish to paint.
I teach people how to use Substance Painter. :)
