substance launcher on ubuntu 18.10 does not allow log in

when i try to log in with the launcher it just does nothing. the button changes color but then nothing happens . If I put in the wrong password it will say wrong password.

Have you tried to login directly in the website www.allegorithmic.com
It is the same account.
Do you get the same issue or nor?

Moreover so far Ubuntu and Debian are not officially supported in this beta version only centOS

Normally you should be able to run the launcher and log in, and launching sw already installed (Painter, Designer, ...) but not installing, updating them...
