Exporting custom channel not working

I created some layers with shadow information (using Add Generator>Light).  Then I created a custom channel called user0.
 I'd like to export this shadow info as it's own map.  But it's only exporting the topmost layer (layer named Front Shadow).  Here's what I'm doing in more detail ...



Am I going about this the wrong way?

Thank you for the detailed description of your issue!
Have you verified that your blending with the correct mode in user0? I'm not able to reproduce your issue on my side.
Could you explain what you meant to do by showing input maps?

Yep.  That was it.  Forgot to change this guy before changing the blending mode ...
