Author Topic: Bake multiple textures while loading high poly only one time  (Read 1347 times)


I am working on a automation process to bake ambient occlusion and normal maps via python and cli. My python script calls sbsbaker normal-from-mesh and ambient-occlusion-from-mesh which works fine but it takes very long. The problem is not caused by the baking process itself but by reading the big fbx file. The high poly mesh is around 500mb.

Right now I call each function after each other but it's not very effective to read the same fbx file two times. So I am curious how to combine it to save time?
