video demonstrating issue:

so, the things are:

1.
i add simple low poly model (suzanne from blender) as gltf
i add and apply prebaked normal map (with circle on the suzanne head)
when i rotate hdri, normal map flickers and looks jagged.
it only happens when specific layers are selected: the default layer or a mask on any layer (video time 2:27)

2.
when i click on any mask with alt+LMB, it is shown black in the viewport.

any suggestions?

the issue was with mesa-21.0.3-3 video drivers.
solved by downgrading mesa video drivers.

for manjaro:
you first need to make sure, that you package manager (pacman by default) has previous versions of a package in its cache (/var/cache/pacman/pkg/).
i've downgraded to mesa-20.3.1-1 (you can probably try some newer versions after mesa-20.3.1-1 but before mesa-21.0.3-3).

in terminal you downgrade mesa and mesa-vdpau with this commands:
Code: [Select]
$ sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/mesa-20.3.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
$ sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/mesa-vdpau-20.3.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

i have no idea if i had to downgrade mesa-vdpau as well, but i assume they should be the same version.

keep in mind, that you need to add these packages to update ignore list, otherwise they will be updated with next system update, but i hope its gona be fixed in the next mesa update.
if you don't have older mesa packages in cache, and if you want to know how to add a package to ignore list, please see the video below:
