Author Topic: Sbsar materials freezes max with arnold MAXtoA  (Read 1320 times)

I have  a huge problem.

3ds Max ver 2021.3
Arnold MAXtoA ver 4.3.1.20
Substance ver2.4.2 Build 23

I create a Substance2 general map in
slate material editor and load and sbsar file.

Then convert it to Substance to Arnold or
Physical material.
I can view it correctly in material editor and
I can render it correctly with the new
Arnold render view IPR window session with
some imagers loaded.

The problem is that when I want to change
a parameter on the stadard surface material
or physical materiel or in the same sbsar map,
max freezes and shut down.

Any clue why happening this?
Impossible to work with sbsar materials and arnold
in 3ds max.
I have to convert them to pbr maps wich is a lot
frustrating...

very frustrating indeed, and it's been this way for the last 4-5 years. I don't think Allego has plans to improve the import process beyond what is currently being offered.
