Author Topic: Is substance painter compatible with the new M1 chip in the MacBook Pro line up?  (Read 2964 times)

I have been contemplating buying the new M1 MacBook Pro, but I need to know if any of the substance painter versions will run on the new silicon apple M1 chip, as substance is a big part of my workflow.

If it’s not compatible with the M1 chip, will Rosetta 2 solve the problem, and allow me to run substance painter on the M1 chip until the software develops compatibility?

We don't have a dedicated version of Substance Painter compatible with the new Mac architecture, however you will be able to run the current versions since Apple is providing a compatibility layer that can run older programs.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
