Author Topic: Substance Painter Rejecting FBX File.  (Read 241 times)

Hey! I'm trying to import/create a new file in painter and when I import the fbx file, it gives me an error every time with [Scene 3D] Failed to Load 3D scene. Loading Failed. I'm importing the fbx file from Blender.

If you re-load the FBX into a 3D modeling program does it work? If so, are you able to upload it here and I'll take a look.

Yep, I'm able to open it in blender.

I'll send media fire link cuz it's not letting me upload the FBX.

I've been able to fix the issue :)

It was an issue with the UV map and 1 part was outside of the UV Map screen in blender, Didn't realize. Moved it back in and the issue was fixed.

Wondering how I am able to remove light effects off the textures off the UV Map when I export. As I don't want one side to be extremely lighted while the other side is dark.

I was just about to post about this!  ;) Your light issue only matters if you're baking light or exporting as per 2D, not actually exporting maps like Color, Roughness, Metal, and your Normal. Don't go by material view, check each channel in the drop down in the viewport.
