Author Topic: Problem with rivets?  (Read 1319 times)

I have created some rivets on an object but I have a couple of problems.  They are stretched on a curved surface.  Also, if I save it and re-open it again I am unable to add more rivets to the object and all of my setting like the spacing have changed.

Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

Stretching - What do your UVs look like? Are the UVs for that object uniformly sized? Or are they perhaps stretched on one direction?

What type of layer are the rivets created on?

I do aircraft and create a gray scale image in PS to import as a height map into SP.

I've checked my UV map in Blender.  I see no stretching in it but I'm a newbe to Substance so I may be missing something.  I'm not sure what you mean by what type of layer?

Layer type - a Fill Layer, a Paint Layer?

Show a picture of your layers also show a picture of the UVs. And while you're at it, show a picture of the 'wires' for that area in Blender.

(Warning, I know very little about Blender, I don't use it.)

Can you include the OBJ/FBX mesh file?
I teach people how to use Substance Painter. :)

Here is the FBX.

I took a quick look and don't see a problem as per the screenshots you posted.

Unless I'm missing something of course. Maybe upload the .spp file?
