I have been trying to create custom minecraft blocks for awhile now and keep ending up with textures that look like this:
Any suggestions?

Just disable padding if you don't want this. It used due to mipmaps.

Your initial texture looks like a UV for a cube, if you want a seamless texture import a plane into Painter and use that.
