Author Topic: Coloring + Normal Map same time?  (Read 1068 times)

Hey guys, i was wondering if its possible to get the same alpha of the normal map to add color to it? The soft default brush on alpha creates a fade at the edge  :-\

 

Create a matching alpha image for the normal map (import the hard surface SBSAR into Substance Designer and export it from there as a bitmap, create a black-and-white image from it), and assign that alpha image to the 'Alpha' slot of the brush.

I see, thanks! It would be great to have it as a feature.

I agree, its quite a 'hack' and not intuitive this way. There should be a way to just pull the alpha from the hard surface SBSAR automatically.
