Author Topic: Substance Painter dumping cache moving to other applications and back.  (Read 433 times)

I am working with heavy models in Substance Painter.  I am running in to an issue where I will be painting on a mask and things are going fine.  But if I alt-tab to another application such as Unreal Engine or a DCC app and then back to Painter it has to "catch up" or re-cache or whatever which is eating heavily in to iteration time.

Are there any suggestions on how to help this? Perhaps is there a way to let Painter be a bit more of a hog and just hold on to what it needs, especially for just the one folder/layers/masks i'm messing with.

In general I'm having issues with apps fighting over VRAM.
