Author Topic: Baking maps doesn't work  (Read 591 times)

I'm trying to bake my maps for my mesh, but it the baking never starts.
I've been leaving it on for three hours and it still hasn't baked my normals (still on 0%).
Not sure why this is happening or what to do, but this has never happened before.

The mesh I'm using is 13k polys and the high definition mesh is around 15mil polys. I've baked with 45mil poly high definition models in the past and it has been no issue, so I'm wondering what's wrong here?

I'm also using the Steam version.

Are you able to provide the meshes at all?

I cannot provide the meshes unfortunately, due to it being work related.

Can you run your high poly through a clean up and decimate?

I've fixed a few problem meshes for others in the past that wouldn't bake and it was due to having very bad meshes.
