Author Topic: Imported textures are useless in a UDIM project - BUG?  (Read 575 times)

While set to use UDIMS i'm discovering that when i import an image file it is placed on the shelf with a number on it. I am unable to use it in a base colour fill, nor can i use it in a projector. Also when i import a single image from a folder it decides to import the entire folder and display it in the shelf as one image with a number on top.

Does anyone else have this issue? if not maybe its just me and i need to uninstall and reinstall?

After lots of searching and reading i came across an article about Image Sequencing https://docs.substance3d.com/spdoc/image-sequence-197427752.html

This lead me to realise Substance Painter was reading the numbers in the image titles and assigning them as a sequence of images. Removing the numbers from the file names allowed them to be recognised as single images.
