Author Topic: Can I see actual value a node output in pixel processor?  (Read 175 times)

like  multiply node   with 2 x 2  inputs showing =4   somewhere?    or maybe some output node connected , like in Blender, showing the same ?

For debugging and better understanding

Also in functions ?

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Displaying the result of each node in a Function Graph is something we have been discussing for a long time. It is a very complex problem to solve.
This is especially true for the Pixel Processor, where any given node might output a different value for each pixel.

Currently, you can use the Set Node as Output option in the contextual menu for any node in a Function Graph which output type is accepted by that particular function.

We understand the value this would add for working with functions – debugging in particular. This is a significant undertaking, thus we currently cannot commit to anything in that regard, and we appreciate your patience.
