Head tracking lag and stutter

I'm experiencing lagginess, and stutter when moving my head, which is extremely unpleasant. As long as I don't move my head, sculpting and moving my hands is perfectly smooth. The Oculus Rift UI, when running on top of Medium, is perfectly smooth as well while Medium stutters in the background.

I normally run my desktop at 4k60, but switching to 1440p120 alleviates the stutter. The lag however is still present. The desktop refresh rate shouldn't matter at all for VR apps, so this is quite bizarre.

This seems to be a common problem of the Quest with Link cable.

I'm also having heavy stuttering, which seems to come from the Controller tracking, because when I only move my head theres no stuttering. I have the newest driver installed and the newest medium update. When I use my Oculus CV1 at the same machine everythings works fine. Im on Oculus Quest 2, 1080 ti and link cable like the OP.
