Ah, so by doing that it's in a way measuring the inside distance through a volume in a way.

Makes sense now.

Thanks!
Mike

I sent the thread to our engineers in charge of the activation system, I'll keep you in touch.

Hello Nicolas,

solved !

I just discovered that Designer does not consider the LAN proxy settings, I had to connect directly to internet to make it ask me the license file.

Kind Regards,
Valerio

Hello

I have just installed 4.6 and I am now experiencing a very sluggish SD, it takes forever to search my library and is very slow in doing anything.

any help would be great.

Thank you

Also have installed new graphic card drivers.

I notice some strong PC freeze sonce 4.6 as well (and I have the last drivers)

@vincent.gault @Bluemidget666@hotmail.co.uk

I will report to the devs. Is there anything specific you can mention that causes the freeze or sluggish response.

Cheers,

I don't have any clear idea (even if it's a coincidence and it's another program),
but I would look for the 3d viewport

When I have SD open it is constantly reading the hard drive, if i search for say Multi material blend it takes forever to list it if at all.

I think I might know why, I have a massive database of textures, far more than I had the last time I upgraded, It might be reading them and creating thumbnails.

@ vincent.gault : We'd need more information about your system :
  • CPU brand & model
  • OS version
  • GPU brand & model
  • driver version
  • and Designer's log would help a lot.

Thanks

@ Bluemidget666 : Yes that may be the cause. Generating the thumbmails should only happen once though. Once the whole lib has been parsed, everything should be back to normal.

Hi,

I can confirm. I have a large database of textures as well loading into my project library. If I remove this path, the search of the Library is very fast.

hi,

installed the SSS shader to SP - but I get no (uniform) color, like in the video...

Cheers

Try switching back and forth between shaders, we discovered a bug where shaders parameters are sometimes not displayed.

Hmmm, I did a few times, but no luck - can not get the "color-input-field" to work (or at least appear)...

no biggie to me, just wanted to try the thickness map in yebis2 viewport for kicks ;)
