Is there a way use a specific channel from a bitmap?

I imported a bitmap with smoothness in the alpha channel (the texture was packed for Unity), so I need my layer to use the alpha channel (and then invert it) for roughness.

Is there a way to do this? Or do I have to just separate the alpha channel into its own texture manually?
