Here's what it looks like when I connect the Gaussian Noise directly to the Gradient Input

Here's what it looks like when it passes through a blend node first, but the image is exactly the same, the warp node no longer works the way I want it to.

What's happening here? I want the warping to affect only a random part of the image that's why I want to use the Blend node, to blacken parts of it with another noise pattern.


The issue is likely caused by precision loss due to the Blend node being set to 8-bit depth:

Try changing the bit depth of the Blend node to match the other node's 16-bit.
