Author Topic: Smart Materials not showing in height map/exports but showing in viewport  (Read 1394 times)

Hi all,

I am a very new user in SP so please bear with me :)

Basically I have used one of the skin smart materials from substance to paint my model as a test, I used a mask to paint it where I want. It shows up in the viewport fine, but when I want to export it or change the view to 'height' nothing shows up at all.

What am I missing here?

Thanks, I am using the default Vray configuration to export, not changing anything.

I tested 'Human Nose Tip Skin' (this is not a Smart Material - the same applies to the other ones you used - Other than Skin Face) based on your screen shot and exported using VRAY without any issues. Even in Painter I see height information.

Make sure you bake maps prior to using Smart Materials as well.

Can you provide your log file and attempt to re-produce the problem using a primitive shape and share the Painter file? You can use Dropbox or Google Drive.
