Author Topic: Driving a parameter with an image  (Read 632 times)

Hey, can somebody help me out with this?

So far I found a documentation page stating it is possible to affect a parameter using an input texture.

"The sampler node can be used to sample pixel values in an image input plugged to the fx-map node. The sampled values can then be used to drive any parameters using functions."

But how can I use these sampled values to drive the parameter? Can someone please elaborate on this? I never used FX Maps, and functions only to drive multiple values by one parameter. I need a step by step explaination.

What I need to do, is drive the Position Random in the Shape Splatter with a gradient, so that the position gets gradually more random.
