Substance Player Mac Slow

Trying to use Substance player to create and preview materials but player struggles to generate preview above 512. Currently using a brand new MacBook Pro 16 with 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB Ram.

Also when quitting program it crashes.

I'm having the same issue -- it's unusably slow.

Radeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB
eGPU: AMD Radeon Vii + Razer Core X

I have exactly the same problem on my MacBook Pro 2017, impossible to use it, way too slow and full of bugs.
