Author Topic: Haveing trouble makeing a believeable cloth texture  (Read 2194 times)

So I'm still pretty new to Substance Designer, but I am getting the hang of it. I am using it on my stylized pirate character. Right now I am trying to make a believable fabric/cloth texture and it is killing me. I'm using one of the default fabric substances to try and blend the material onto my base textures, but I can not get the scale small enough for the texture to be believable. I know I am probably going to have to make my own substance for this to look right but I'm not sure where to start.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

take a look at the 2d transform or safe transform (color) for the tiling.
the emboss can also help you at some point to give a bit of relief to your diffuse.
