Author Topic: Match by mesh name - does not seem to work?  (Read 3139 times)

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I am trying to bake using the match by mesh name and seem to get the following issue:

I've checked multiple times that my meshes naming conventions are correct:

I can fix the issue shown above by changing the frontal/rear distance value, however, this does not fix issues I have in smaller areas - which I believe should not be happening if the match by mesh name worked correctly?

It seems as if its not actually baking my pieces separately?

I'm using Substance Painter 2019.3.0
Settings:

I also cannot seem to export the log file?

Thanks in advance.

We've been having several reports of the feature being broken in 2019.3, we're looking into it.

Is there a way we can go back to a previous version in the mean time? Kinda detrimental for work right now  :-\

Login to your account at: https://store.substance3d.com/user

Then click LICENSES and you'll see 'All builds' on the right side, click that to select a version.

I teach people how to use Substance Painter. :)

In your bake settings, go to the ambient occlusion and thickness tabs. Both of these also have bake by mesh settings and I expect it is what is causing this issue.

Make sure to click apply to all as well otherwise it will only do one texture.

The image I attached should be enough to help
