Author Topic: Triplanar Mapping of Substances in MAYA  (Read 471 times)

Hi Everybody,

I am looking for a way to use substance materials in Maya for automotive design concept modelling.

In this video you can get an idea, what I usually use Maya for:



So my issue is, there is no way to do UV's in our workflow, as there is just no time for it. Also the materials would have to be used during the modelling process due to constant reviews. Usually I just use triplnar mapping as for most materials it works pretty well.

Is there any way to set up triplanar mapping in the substance plugin in Maya?
As the shadernetworks can get very complex, rewiring everything in every Shader manually I don't see as an option.

If this is not possible, i think this would be a really strong feature to have  ;)
