Greetings all,

I have a question about UDIM workflow. I am texturing a snake that is split across several UDIM patches. I need to add details on the head and mouth patach that will not be on the tail.

I know I can assign different graphs to different UDIM patched. But is there a way to say "only apply this change to this patch"?

Otherwise, I will have to duplicate the entire node tree into another graph and make the updates to that.

This is fine just a little clunky feeling, and I want to make sure I am not missing something.

Any help is greatly appreciated.



You can simply create a mask that corresponds to the UV Tile you want to apply the detail on. So the graph will be the same for all tile, but the effect will be visible only on the one were the mask is white.

Here is an example using a uniform color:

I put that in a custom graph (attached) where you can choose between UV tile index and UDIM.
