Author Topic: Textures don't go in one direction; they overlap and cause inconsistencies  (Read 527 times)

it ends up looking really bad in other programs as shown in the example below.

I just don't understand why i can't make the brush make the striations in one direction rather than having it stretch and do odd things as I paint.

As you can see in this video below when exporting the meshes it looks even worse

Would appreciate the help, i've been straining over this the last few days.

Does your UV map take into account your model's aspect ratio? If not you will get stretched out textures. Also if your UVs have quads which are bigger and/or smaller than the rest you'll see issues in those areas by comparison.

I cannot provide any assistance without more information.
