Author Topic: Importing Photshop Brushes  (Read 6947 times)

Good morning, guys. I think this feature request is self explanatory. I have a buttload of brushes that I use in Photoshop to paint my character models and I would love to see these brushes be able to be used in Painter to make my life a hell of a lot easier to paint skin, such as the Nagel Brush packs for human skin. You can find these brushes online.

Also, when creating a group folder, is it possible to set the default behaviour set to Pass Through, like in Photoshop? I almost totally forgot about how groups function.

Yes, this is a must. Mari and 3d-Coat both support Photoshop .abr format, Substance Painter should too.

Supporting .abr is a lot more complicated than it sounds. We may support extracting alphas from .abr at some point though.

As for folders/groups, you can use the Disable blending mode to bypass it, and there is also a Pass through blending mode.

That would be sweet... I have been trying to figure that out for a while manually...

Hello,

I use a tool called AbrMate to convert abr files to png.

Here's the link, it's free :)
