Author Topic: Load Substance painter project with new Maya plugin  (Read 892 times)

Is there a way to automatically load a Substance from Painter.
Im not able to get it working with the new plugin in Maya.
Im only able to load .sbsar files.

Id like to hook up all the files i crated in painter in one go.

Substance Painter creates an archive of your texturing "project"; substance material, comped materials, paint information, layers, resources, meshes etc.
Substance Designer exports a material recognized by the substance engine.

The Maya plugin only supports the material recognized by the engine.
It's an alternate workflow to what you're doing in Painter, therefore it's not compatible.

I thought there is a workaround to make the shader creation in Maya faster.
Maybe in the future with the new materialX.
