Custom Blend Filter

Hello.
I have a simple Question. Is it possible to create a custom Blend Filter from Designer to be used in Alchemist? I can't find a way to process (or input) two materials in a filter. Maybe i'm just overlooking something pretty simple. I'm trying to create a custom material blend effect (stepped, not as an image) to use with different materials in Alchemist.
