Can anyone explain away the weird artifacts on the edges of my model? The UVs dont look too bad, but they are there in all maps. I baked these with 4x4 antialiasing in case that would fix it, but it didnt.

I'm not referring to the shadow section, that is the AO from a hidden object, but the lines around the perimeter of the object.


If you are talking about the lines that runs along the edges of your geometry, this is a common issue when you are in one of those cases :
  • Vertex normals/Smoothing groups are split on these edges which leads to hard edges
  • You have UV splits here but not enough padding
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
