Author Topic: Getting hard edges in Substance painter when rendering...  (Read 825 times)

I have low poly character model with soften edges and when I bake and render some hard edges appears.
Here is screenshot.

Low poly.


High poly and low poly difference(Red is low poly).


Baked model. Here every thing looks fine.


But when I render model some edges of low poly appears. Here is screenshot of that.


Can anyone help me in this problem.

It's not clear if the hard edges correspond to the UV seams or not. You can try to remove the normal map to check that.

I'd suspect it's just an effect of the raytraced shadows in maya (Arnold ?), if so the only way to fix that is to subdivide the mesh.
