Author Topic: Displacement missing  (Read 4170 times)

All the materials that you can directly download from Substance Source do have major issues.

The mandatory nodes are not built - therefor the Material does not look like in the preview.
Example Material: Inclined Lumber Tiles

When you download that material, you can clearly see that the Displacement is missing.

If I have to rebuild every material again, or if I have to add Displacement and tiling nodes then I don't need Substance.
The whole idea is to be able to download Materials, and they should work.

I have no time to mess around with Materials.
If I would, I wouldn't need Substance Source.

So please fix all the materials.. that's pretty hard core to see as a paying customer!

it's the same when using the plugin for 3dsmax! ouch

Hi Teaguevr,

As said in another thread, the integration team is currently working in adding these capabilities in the UE4 plugin.

Any updates on the progress for this major super important core feature?

You can find information on how to add displacement on the Substance materials in the different integrations on this page:

https://docs.substance3d.com/integrations/working-with-displacement-159451189.html

Things are coming to make that easier, but there is no ETA yet.
