Author Topic: Little issues when testing the new displacement feature  (Read 426 times)

Hi there,

I'm just trying the new displacement feature and I LOVE IT!! :) but,

1) What is the black circle around my brush ?

2) I can't paint precisely when I'm in 3D view and from an angle perspective.

3) In the 2D view I can paint precisely but the stroke is not continue

The circle is the lazy mouse option, you can deactivate it in the toolbar above the viewport.

I tried creating continuous straight lines in the 2d viewport (holding the shift key), doesn't work for me either

would be cool, if this would be the same in both the 2d and 3d view

Froyok, the described issue is so easy to reproduce, who would need a log file for this?

same goes for this thread: https://forum.substance3d.com/index.php/topic,27263.msg106336.html#msg106336

just take 5 minutes and try it out and be a part of the solution, instead of the landscape

If we ask for a log, it's because we cannot reproduce the issue on our side.
Being rude to the staff here trying to help out is not going to fix things faster.

sorry, Jeremie and Froyok

from Froyok's answer it wasn't evident to me, that he had tried to reproduce the issue (this also goes for the linked thread regarding the clone tool)

No worries, but you can assume that we always try to reproduce an issue before asking for the log  ;)

The log file is part of the procedure to request support from us, as explained here : https://forum.substance3d.com/index.php/topic,22451.0.html
It gives us context and sometimes allow us to check that the issue you have is a common one that we already know the answer of. It's a way of confirming lots of things quickly.

So until you attach a log file we won't be able to help you further.
