Author Topic: LiveLink - mesh invisible when reopening painter file  (Read 883 times)

Hey guys,

I'm getting acquainted with Substance Painter and I'm loving it. I've just installed the Substance Plugin in UE4 and I'm trying the LiveLink feature, after watching the Youtube video on the Substance channel ("Substance Painter Unreal Engine Livelink"). It seems to work fine, until I close everything and reopen. The mesh then gets invisible inside Substance Painter and can only be seen if I switch from Material to Single Channel mode in the viewport's drop-down menu. So I guess it's the material that's invisible. I currently only have the Painter installed, and not the other software included in my subscription (Designer, etc.).

EDIT: I don't know if it's related, but after I send the mesh from UE4 to Painter, the LiveLink icon next to the green dot inside Painter is the Unity icon and only changes to the UE4 icon after I click it.

I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just a current bug...

Versions:
Substance Painter - 2019.1.0
UE4 - 4.22.1

Thanks a lot!
