Author Topic: 3ds Max Substance Plugin and Distributed Rendering Issue  (Read 1115 times)

I ran into a bit of an issue rendering a scene containing a substance texture node on our render farm.  Deadline threw me a missing dll error due to a missing substance2019.dlt file.  I found the file on my local machine and put it in our Max Plugins location on our local network, however, now all of our local machines are throwing an error when 3ds Max initializes.  "Failed to initialize substance2019.dlt."

Do I need to install the substance plugin on every machine? Or can I point to a network location and have the machines pull the plugin from there? If pulling from a network location works, which files do I need to copy to that location?

Thank you,
