Is it possible to create, on substance, something like the penrose tiling through FX-Maps? I find hard to get results using functions inside FX-Maps, is there any example?

I know it's possible using bitmaps and vectors, but I want to avoid that.

have you tried playing with the polygon 1 generator?
possibly feed that into symmetry slice. just thinkin outloud.

just looked that up, do you need it non-periodic, or just looking for a similar geometric pattern?

The polygon generator gives me a similar pattern, but it doesn't give me quite what I'm looking for, wich is that progression that you can see on the danztil image. I think this effect could be achieved using some functions on the transform operator, but haven't found much material about it.
