Why is there no Moss splatter layer as shown in the documentation ?

There is a splatter node/filter and it requires material inputs. Just drag and drop your moss from the Generator - Atlas into one of those materials. I believe that was the question?

You mean the one that does not seem to work, downloaded the 'Moss Splatter' SBSAR from SS, added a base layer, added a 'splatter' layer,  dragged the file onto one of the material slots, nothing happened - action ignored, tried multiple diferent scenarios, no joy...

Ok,in the create tab enable resources (you can find it in the top left side)in the bottom there is a generators - Atlas category, use european forest moss from there
