I have baked my high res model onto my low poly model. Now I want to paint in some extra Details, such as screws. So far I have been painting in the normal map of the screw and then manualy masked out the screw in order to give it a different material. This works fine for simple details.
Is there an easier way to mask out my normals than drawing it out? If I have more complex normal details it is very time consuming to create masks for each different materials I want to use for that normal.
Lets say I have a normal detail that I drew in, which parts require three different material. Even if I take the time to mask them out perfectly, if I draw the same detail again I have to mask out all three materials again.
Is there a solution for this?
