Author Topic: For some reason my imported sbsar material names do not carry over to UE4?  (Read 980 times)


When I try to import a sbsar from network location, the name of the material does not carry over to UE4.
I really don't want to copy past names, as I plan to import multiple sbsar materials.

Please advise and note that I have the latest plugin available and am on UE4 V 4.21.2.
Please also note that I did both downloaded from Market and when that did not work I
installed in runtime folder as per instructions:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_4.21\Engine\Plugins\Runtime

I really would like the names to carry over since I want to import over 100 materials all at once.

I figured out that my problem was that the label did not have the same name.  Once I copied the graph name into the label, all material bitmaps went into UE4 with their identifiable same names.

I would really like to have a setting where I could set the package name, graph name and the label to all be the same name.  This would save so much copy paste time.

If there is any way to do this I would appreciate this time saver very much!
Please advise is possible?

interesting.. I am running into a different problem.
My Substance Materials don't generate any height information.
Like Displacement, or Bump and Normal.

Do you know how it's possible to change the height information?
Like Bump, Normal or displacement?

I don't even know if Displacement is supported... uuahhh
