Substance Designer launches and then closes without error message

I would like to get Substance Designer to open on my laptop.

The program opens and I can see all of the windows/layout when it suddenly closes again.

My laptop specs are:

Intel Celeron N3450
6 GB ram
DirectX12
Intel HD 500 (3 GB shared memory)

According to your description I think your configuration is not recommended for Designer.
You can check the specs here : https://www.allegorithmic.com/products/tech-specs
But to be sure, can you send your log file, please ?
You will find it here : C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Allegorithmic\Substance Designer
