Author Topic: Source Car Paint - Outputting bitmaps for vray ... tutorial?  (Read 256 times)

I just downloaded the metallic car paint from Source. I've figured out a workflow to output bitmaps from other ("regular") materials for vray, but I'm completely lost on how to output maps from this type of material and exactly where/how to use them in VRay. Should I use a VRayCarPaintMtl, or a VRay Blend material with a VRayFlakes/StochasticFlakes mtl? And either way, where would I plug in the "Roughness Flake" and the "Normal Flake" maps? I don't think I see corresponding slots for these anywhere in VRayCarPaint or VRayFlakes/StochasticFlakes materials.

I'm surprised that there are no tutorials covering this conversion. Is this something super easy to figure out but somehow I'm just missing it? I've tried searching for quite a while, and sorry if this is something that I should be able to figure out, but I'm stuck. Thanks in advance for the help.
