Author Topic: Painting custom materials from Substance  (Read 1181 times)

Hey I was wondering if someone could point me to some learning resources on a Substance > Painter workflow?

An elaboration on the start of this video maybe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLlMKgf_Wm0&list=UU-toy9WMImypmLAiU9h_SzQ

how they are painting what appears to be a substance material onto the mesh, and then modifying exposed parameters.

I've set up some base materials in SD but i can't apply them as an FX map because apparently the graphs aren't configured to do so.

Thanks

Hello,

In order to import the substance as a Substance Effect, you need to configure the graph. I will be creating specific training on this for the version 1.0 release. I have attached a mg and matfx sbs. The mg effects are mask generators and work on mask layers. The matfx is for color effects applied to the layer.

Cheers,
