i have a question regarding loading .fbx and going back-and-forth with my DCC app.
I know ideally I would have all the UVs perfect from Max/Maya but if i have to make some tweaks and re-import, what is the best way to not loose all my work with the layers/materials i have built?

as long as you only change the UVs (reminder: don´t change the material applied to your model between re-exports), everything should be preserved

... except for strokes applied in the 2D view, as mentioned in the documentation.

maya has a texture warp tool, which does an amazing job, when it comes to warping textures between different UV sets. This feature might be a nice addition to Painter, btw.
